sticks and stones

Just another nice sunny day in LA. Not to brag or anything.. but the weather here has been perfect! Especially for a gal like me who feels the most comfortable in jeans and a tee most days. And of course, since black is the color of my soul, even on the nicest of days, it will be my go-to color.

This tee was a lucky thrift find at the Fairfax flea market a few weeks ago. I cut up a few holes and gave it a more 'worn in' look, and I'm absolutely in love with it! Vintage tees are my favorite, especially when you find one that fits your personality perfectly and it is actually in a small size! score! While I was at the flea market I also picked up this rose choker from Vida Kush. I could not believe how well the tee and choker go together. I was definitely blessed by the fashion gods that day!

you're a virgin who can't drive

Anyone get the reference in my post title? Shame on you if you didn't! This outfit is giving off major Clueless vibes and I love it! Truth be told the first time I watched Clueless in full was a lot later in life. I remembered my friends being hooked on it when I was a kid but I never got around to watching it (now shame on me, right?) until maybe 3-4 years ago. Now I am full fledged obsessed and I probably quote that movie way too much. So every once is a while I will take a style cue or two from the lovely ladies Cher, Dionne, and Tai.

Always a fun time hanging out with the roomie. We work so often that even though we live together, we hardly get a day off at the same time. So when we do, we try to take full advantage. Kind of funny how we unintentionally matched that day.

Well this was certainly a fun look to put together. It had been a while since I last wore my cookie monster coat, and since I'm obsessed with all things fluffy this season, I knew it was the perfect time to bring it back out of my closet again. And what better way to wear an electric blue fluffy coat than to pay homage to one of my favorite movies? Did you guys go through a Clueless phase as well? What were your favorite movies growing up?

rain or shine

The bf and I walked around dtla yesterday on a mission for cat food. It was lightly raining and we decided to try to kill two birds with one stone and do a quick shoot on the way to the pet store. Rain or shine (or extreme wind), nothing was gonna stop us.

Saw this bag at Zara the other day, and it was giving me major Falabella vibes. Knew I had to take it home with me and I'm pretty happy about that decision.

Thank you Tomtop for this army green parka, it saved my life on a windy rainy day. One of my favorite styling tricks on a cold day, is the tried and true opaque tights under denim shorts combo. It will never go out of style and you can still feel stylish even when you have to pack on the layers. And one layer was really all I needed with this jacket. It's surprisingly warm, and even though I was only wearing a thin tank top inside, I was nice and toasty. And with that, the army green parka is instantly added on my list of LA winter essentials.
