new proportions

The wide leg pant is seen everywhere lately and it is definitely a trend I can get behind. I always welcome anything that requires very little effort and still looks chic with open arms. Since I am a bit on the short side, the best way for me to style the wide leg pant is with a crop top. It lengthens my legs so they don't get swallowed up in all that fabric. As you know, I'm always wearing some type of high waisted bottom with a crop top. When you find that magic formula, you stick with it! What are some of your favorite current trends? Are you guys into the wide leg? Let me know!

woodstock

Photos by my mom

These photos were taken last week when my mom and I were shopping around for a father's day gift for my dad. He can be pretty picky at times so it was definitely tricky to find him the perfect gift. I was channeling some major festival vibes with this look. It was mildly hot that day so denim cutoffs were essential. Threw on a fringe suede jacket to complete the look, thankfully it was lightweight enough that I wasn't dying in it. In a few hours I head back home to have dinner with my family and I get to see my dad's reaction when I give him his gift. He is a man that can not hide his expressions on his face so I always know exactly what he is thinking. He has always taught me to be the most honest person I can be and to express my feelings no matter what. That is just one of the many invaluable lessons he has taught me throughout the years. Anyway, I hope you all have a great Sunday and a great Father's Day. I'm excited for some quality family time tonight!

mustard

One of my favorite colors this season is mustard. I've been stocking up on a few pieces in this shade to incorporate into my looks lately, and I'm liking the results. Not only is mustard a delicious condiment on hot dogs (yummm) but it also gives an ensemble a hint of vintage, especially when paired with denim. Oh and how good are these Zara sandals? One part espadrille, one part suede, the perfect pairing!
