pointing the finger

Photos by Michael Ramstead

(Project Social T shirt, vintage Levis shorts, Isabel Marant sandals, Vintage backpack, Ray-Ban aviators)

All eyes on me today as I pose in front of this giant finger that Michael and I stumbled upon while wandering the streets of DTLA. You can always count on this city for random wall art, and I always take full advantage of it. On this day I wore a classic stripe tee, a major reoccurring print in my wardrobe. You know how Jenna Lyons declared leopard as being a neutral? Well, that is exactly how I feel about stripes. I have countless amounts of striped garments in my closet and I plan on acquiring more each season, as there is always an updated way to do stripes. Afterwards we headed to California Donuts and stocked up on a month's worth of carbs. It was gratuitous but so worth it, guilty pleasure at it's finest. I guess I provided Michael with a little inspiration because the next day he sent me this cute sketch of a way cuter cartoon version of myself. I was flattered, to say the least. Check out his amazing artwork here.

friends who lunch

Photos by Shawn Plascencia & Johvany Morales

(Forever 21 dress, Sam Edlman sandals, Zara bag, Ray-Ban aviator sunglasses, Infinitine necklace)

A few weeks ago Roxie and I headed to Larchmont area for a quick brunch and girl talk. As always, we show up in unplanned matching outfits. It's funny how that seems to happen with us all the time. You know how roommates sync up their monthly cycles? It sounds made up but it's actually totally a thing. That's basically whats happening here. We've synced up our outfit cycles. Have you guys ever had that happen with your friends? I'd like to think of it as having found your fashion soul mate.

go get em tiger

Photos by Shawn Plascencia

(Truly Madly Deeply tank dress, BDG flannel shirt, Topshop boots, Acne beanie, vintage backpack, Glamour Stoned necklace)

Grunging it up for a day of light shopping on Larchmont Village. This T-shirt dress is quintessential for the lazy girl's guide to dressing. I bought it in both white and black, which I have gotten tons of wear out of already. There's nothing better than a garment that looks and feels great. See folks, you don't always have to sacrifice comfort for the sake of fashion. On the contrary, beanie in 90 degree weather? Not ideal, but it went with the outfit, so sue me! I picked up two of my favorite scents at Diptyque, Roses and Baies and then headed to Go Get Em Tiger for a fancy toast and a sweet latte. It was my first time there and definitely not going to be the last. That toast is what dreams are made of!
